The Technical Business Analyst acts as a liaison between business and technical teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and develop analytics programs that support the division's strategic priorities.

 

Job Purpose:

Reporting directly to the DGM Corporate Services, the Technical Business Analyst will work as a liaison between the various functional units (reporting to) the Deputy General Manager as well as both internal and external technical communities to develop solutions that support the Division’s operational and strategic priorities. He or she will be responsible for the initiation, analysis, communication, validation and translation of all business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which solutions, including changes to business processes, document, content, workflow and information systems are developed. Additionally, the incumbent will have responsibility for the development, implementation and monitoring of appropriate analytics, metrics and intelligence programme for the Division. 

 

 

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Business Management from an accredited tertiary institution. Post Graduate Certification would be an asset  
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the field of Project Management, Analytics, Engineering and/or Information Technology
  • Advanced Statistical Modeling capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Project Management Implementation principles
  • In-depth knowledge of the local and international business environments
  • Thorough knowledge of the application of management information systems

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; including technical writing
  • Sound analytical, conceptual and modelling skills
  • Outstanding leadership, planning and organizational skills
  • The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
