Position Summary

A well-established hotel located in the Caribbean is seeking a highly qualified Resident Manager, with extensive experience in hotel management and strategic leadership, to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient resort operations, and adherence to company standards. This role requires operational oversight, and a hands-on management approach to maintain the resort’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily resort operations including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Spa, Maintenance, and Security.
  • Ensure all departments operate efficiently and in compliance with company policies, brand standards, and local regulations.
  • Monitor room inventory, occupancy levels, and guest services to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless operations across the resort.
  • Ensure high standards of guest service and hospitality are consistently delivered.
  • Address guest concerns, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a welcoming and service-oriented culture throughout the resort.
  • Supervise, coach, and support department heads and staff.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in managing operating budgets and controlling costs.
  • Review daily operational reports, revenue summaries, and expenses.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the resort’s facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are met at all times.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and manage urgent repair issues.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives to drive occupancy and revenue.
  • Represent the resort professionally with guests, vendors, tourism partners, and local authorities.
  • Maintain positive relationships within the hospitality and tourism community.
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Assist in implementing emergency procedures and crisis management plans.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hotel or resort management, preferably in a luxury or full-service resort.
  • Proven leadership and people-management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, guest service standards, and financial controls.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Experience in the Caribbean hospitality market is highly desirable.
  • CSME certificate

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
