The incumbent will have responsibility for the day to day implementation and administration of the Workforce and Benefits portfolio while assisting with other Human Resources functions.

 

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or the Social Sciences majoring in Human Resource Management or related area
  • At least four (4) years’ experience working in Human Resource Management with primary responsibility for the administration of the Workforce and Benefits portfolio. 
  • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Expert knowledge of Benefits Administration and Personnel Records Management 
  • Sound knowledge of workforce planning 
  • Sound knowledge of employment practices in Jamaica
  • Sound knowledge of Industrial Relations procedures, practices and related Labour Legislations/Laws
  • Sound knowledge of human resources practices, principles and planning 
  • Working knowledge of job evaluation methodologies
  • Sound knowledge of the Corporation’s Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Sound knowledge of organizational design and development
