The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Senior Resident at the Mandeville Regional Hospital.

Under the general direction of the Medical Officer, the successful candidate will provide more accessible and cost-effective anaesthesia and related care to the mass of the population (from birth to any age) on a 24-hour basis, 7 days per week.

The incumbent manages the Physiotherapy department, overseeing administrative functions, clinical treatment programs, quality assurance, staff supervision, student training, and budget planning to ensure comprehensive patient rehabilitation services.

The incumbent manages all inpatient and discharge records, ensures accurate census data and coding, processes requests for medical information, maintains confidentiality, and supports the filing and security of patient health records.

Under the general supervision of the Biomedical Engineer, the Biomedical Equipment Technician repairs, calibrates and maintains medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems of moderate complexity used in health care delivery at the hospital

Reporting to the Director of Nursing Services, the successful candidate will serve as liaison officer, facilitating the day-to-day primary and secondary care interaction within the hospital.

The Medical Technologist performs specimen collection and testing, analyzes body fluids, prepares blood components, ensures result accuracy, maintains equipment, and adheres to safety and operational protocols.

The incumbent provides comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment, patient education, and community outreach, while ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with all clinical and safety regulations.
